About Furniture Medic
Furniture Medic is not your average furniture restoration and repair company.
First established in 1992, Furniture Medic started as a small furniture repair business. Since then, it has grown to over 300 locations across Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom commanding respect as the largest furniture and wood damage and restoration company of its kind.
Furniture Medic can offer on-site repairs at the convenience of our clients. This creates a high demand for our services in both the residential and commercial aspects of repairs and restorations. Furniture Medic is capable of bringing old worn out pieces of furniture or fixtures back to life through various techniques. We strive for a cleaner environment, whenever possible using water-based, chemical free products that meet all codes and regulations set by local governing bodies. The products we use are disposed of in a safe and ecologically friendly manner.
With years of experience in the repair and restoration of wood products, Furniture Medic is able to work with local home owners, businesses, and other restoration experts in the event of floods, fires, or any other natural disasters which might affect the surrounding area.
Our goal is to return these old furnishings to their original beauty, all while having as little impact on our environment as possible. Restoring and repairing these items instead of throwing them away is important to us, and allows customers to keep their favourite items while saving money.
National Franchise Sales Manager, Terry Hould says the success of Furniture Medic is firmly rooted in its dedication to providing customers with unparalleled craftsmanship and quality service in wood restoration and upholstery repair.
In 1996, Furniture Medic was acquired by ServiceMaster of Memphis, Tennessee. Having established its Canadian operations in 1953 in Toronto, ServiceMaster is a global company with over 7,300 franchises and company-owned locations worldwide.
With more than 8.5 million customers globally and a revenue of more than $6 billion per year, ServiceMaster is one of the world's largest residential and commercial disaster service networks.
Andrew MacLachlan (R) owner of Furniture Medic of Calgary & Area, along with Shawn Irwin, President of Petroland Services joined forces with the whole West Kootenay Warriors cycling group for the second year in a row to raise funds for the YMCA’s Strong Kids program.
